Here we walk the walk (and eat the wheatgrass smoothie) when it comes to being active, eating healthy, and connecting with the healing power of nature. Here are some of our secrets to enjoying a holistic getaway, and some tips to bring home with you.
1. Outdoor Yoga. Our daily yoga program hosted by Retreat Yoga and Wellness showcases the beauty of our yoga deck at our North Shore property. As you flow from mountain to downward dog to cobra pose, the sparkling sea dazzles before you, ocean breezes caress your cheeks, and the scent of salt air floats through the air. You are one with nature. Tip to take home: Find a beautiful natural setting near your house—whether it’s your garden or a nearby park—and set up your yoga mat.
2. Island-inspired Healthy Eating. After an active day of kiteboarding and other exhilarating water sports at our Long Bay property, slated to open in November, guests can enjoy catered lunches consisting of muscle- recovery smoothies, juices, power bars, and other healthy, holistic treats– all served in their own private villa by Retreat Kitchen, a vegetarian café and juice bar. Tip to take home: Bring back some island-inspired recipes to continue your healthy eating back home.
3. Healing Scents that Fill the Air. Studies have shown how plant-based essential oils and skin care products can enhance holistic wellness, which is why we place in our rooms ultrasonic diffusers researched and designed by Saje Natural Wellness. Each diffuser emits a purifying aroma—for sleep, relaxation, awake, or energizing—that adds healing negative ions to the air. When our next villa resort at Long Bay opens for rentals on November 1, you can rest assured that each suite will contain exclusive diffuser aromatherapy. In addition, Saje’s aromatherapy mists harmonize the body and mind with one spray of hydrating essence. Our latest are our newly launched energizing mists, perfect for anyone needing a little pick-me-up. Tip to take home: Enjoy a wellness boost even in your fast-paced lifestyle with a pocket-size pharmacy. Hop online to purchase a convenient-size kit that is perfect for anyone on the go.
Beach Enclave is devoted to healthy, holistic living. But it’s not something that has to be left behind when you board the plane. Our promise to you is that we can help you develop healthy habits that don’t stay on vacation—they come home with you.
Picture it: you’re gazing out over a vast expanse of turquoise waters as the warm sun bathes sea and sand in its gentle light. You stretch your right arm forward, left arm behind, as the instructor subtly adjusts your shoulders to help you enjoy the maximum benefit from the pose. You’ve tried yoga before, but you never knew how amazing it could be when practiced in a tropical paradise. At Beach Enclave’s North Shore yoga pavilion, this fantasy becomes reality every day at 8 A.M. during the vinyasa yoga class led by the expert instructors from Retreat Yoga & Wellness Studio. Laura and Lindsay Mensen, founders of Retreat Studio, studied abroad for several years with the world’s most elite teachers before returning to Turks & Caicos to bring their healing services to visitors and residents alike. In fact, the program at our North Shore location has been so successful, we’re planning to take it to the next level. When our newest resort, Beach Enclave Long Bay, opens November 1, it will offer daily afternoon yoga classes focused on sculpting and led, of course, by the professionals from Retreat Yoga & Wellness. Best of all, as a guest of Beach Enclave, you can attend these yoga classes at both North Shore and Long Bay free of charge. Develop core strength, flexibility, and mindfulness at one of the group classes, or let us arrange a private session for you at your seaside villa. We’ll even provide an array of healthy, fresh, and delicious snacks for you to enjoy, including smoothies, fruit juices, hummus, granola, quinoa banana bars, and much more.
In the 2nd century A.D., geographer and travel enthusiast Pausanias penned his Description of Greece, one of the world’s earliest examples of travel literature. Since then, mankind’s penchant for exploring exotic locales, both in person and vicariously through other travelers’ memoirs and fiction, has flourished. Fortunately for us, the technologies of exploration have also flourished, so that today, you can embark on an interactive virtual reality experience, transporting yourself just about anywhere in the world without ever leaving the comfort of home. At Beach Enclave, we’re dedicated to utilizing the latest in digital 3D imaging tools to help you decide whether our exclusive luxury villas are the right fit for your travel needs. With Google Street View and Veer, you can scope out full 360-degree views of both the exterior and interior spaces specific to the villa you choose. At Beach Enclave we believe that an ideal holiday has to offer the best in both relaxation and adventure. That’s why we’re so thrilled to announce our new partnership with KiteProvo, the acclaimed kiteboarding school that’s served the Turks and Caicos community since 2006. As part of this exciting new partnership, Beach Enclave is constructing an eco-adventures facility at our Long Bay location. Though the facility will be open to the public, as a guest of Beach Enclave, you’ll receive special discounts and other perks to help you enjoy the full range of activities, which will include not just kiteboarding, but also kayaking, snorkeling, and paddleboarding. Worried that you’re not experienced or athletic enough? Lay those worries to rest, because KiteProvo’s IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and PASA (Professional Air Sports Association) certified instructors are eager to bring the fun of aquatic sports to all guests, from total beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. Plus, with its shallow waters, smooth sea floor, and pristine wind conditions, Long Bay Beach is the perfect spot to learn.
At Beach Enclave, we strive to stay on the cutting-edge of hospitality. Toward that end, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Saje Natural Wellness, renowned specialists in the restorative power of essential oils and skin treatments. A state-of-the-art ultrasonic diffuser will be installed in all Beach Enclave master bedrooms, offering guests four natural diffuser blends—Tranquility, Unwind, Liquid Sunshine, and Energy—each of which provides a unique blend of essential oils calibrated to help you achieve the ultimate state of sleep, relaxation, or liveliness. In addition, Saje experts have trained our in-villa butlers so they can explain the all-natural ingredients and extensive benefits of each diffuser blend, ensuring that you will be able to select the purification setting ideally suited to your desired physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state. When Saje founders Jean-Pierre and Kate Leblanc visited Beach Enclave recently, they immediately recognized the kinship between the Saje and Beach Enclave ethos. “Our philosophy,” says Kate, “is that you can do your body, mind, and spirit a world of good by connecting with the healing power of nature. Our time at Beach Enclave was so rejuvenating … you are surrounded by plants, water, sun, and fresh air, all of which fill you with such a profound feeling of health and wellness.” Together with Saje, we look forward to continuing to bring you the best luxury villa living the Caribbean has to offer.
If you’re looking for delicious food, sweet beats, and thrilling dance moves served up with an authentic island flair, Bight’s Park is the place to be every Thursday from 5:30 to 9:30, where the Island Fish Fry brings together locals and visitors from across Turks and Caicos to celebrate “all things TCI.” Patrons dig into plates piled high with zesty conch salads, lobster mac-n-cheese, and freshly grilled corn. Live music is provided by different artists each week, including island favorites like the V6 Rake n Scrape Band, Lee & the Force, and Keno & Kazz Alroy & Daz. Local artisans display and sell their handcrafted wares, youth groups perform traditional island dances, and kids of all ages enjoy storytelling and maypole twirling. Food vendors include Bugaloo’s Conch Crawl, Cactus Bar & Grill, Doreen’s Place, Froggie’s on da Beach, Middle Caicos Café, Miss Moonies, Three Queens, and many more. Finally, after your evening of fun-filled revelry is through, you’ll be thrilled to return to the supreme comfort of your luxurious seaside villa.
At Beach Enclave, the one thing we know best (aside from hospitality, of course) is boating, which is why we adore the sleek, state-of-the-art design of the vessels crafted by the venerable Hinckley Company of New England. Among the great makers of personal sea vessels, Henry Hinckley stood out. A trained aeronautical engineer, he designed his boats to navigate the treacherous waters of Maine’s rocky Acadian Coast. For nine decades now, the Hinckley Company, always on the cutting-edge of innovation, has been producing world-class sailboats, motorboats, and yachts with unparalleled maneuverability, safety, and aesthetic appeal. The Hinckleys of today are designed by naval architect Michael Peters, whose unique hull-crafting process allows the Company to guarantee their boats for life. If you’ve never set sail in one of these vessels, you must treat yourself to a day out on a Hinckley, the most luxurious ride on the sea.

Named for the towering tropical fruit tree that shades its front lawn, Guinep House, also known as the Turks & Caicos National Museum, is located in historic Cockburn Town, TCI’s capital city. The whitewashed colonial building itself was constructed almost two centuries ago using materials salvaged from various shipwrecks. Inside, you’ll find exhibits detailing many fascinating maritime disasters, including the Molasses Reef Wreck of 1505, the first recorded European shipwreck anywhere in North or South America. In addition, you can explore the history of pre-colonial native peoples, delve into the details of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, learn about TCI’s role in the Space Race, and much more. Exhibits on the variegated flora and fauna of the islands abound, and just outside Guinep House, the museum’s own garden offers a tranquil setting for visitors to reflect on the rich natural and cultural history of Turks and Caicos Islands.
