Watersports at Beach Enclave North Shore

September 16, 2016

If you had to pick one thing that makes the Turks and Caicos so special, one local treasure that keeps thousands of people coming back each year, what would it be?

For us at Beach Enclave — and for so many others, we're sure — the answer is simple. It's the ocean. And it's not just any ocean. The brilliant color and clarity of the water in the Turks and Caicos is unlike that anywhere else in the world. (We may be just mildly biased.) But if you want to make the most of your time in the Turks and Caicos, there's no doubt — you have to get out on the water, whether it's to swim, kayak or cruise the Caicos cays on a boat.

With that in mind, we've made sure that Beach Enclave villas are equipped with all you need to enjoy your time on the water to the fullest. Here's what you can expect with your stay at Beach Enclave North Shore.

Kayaking

One of the best ways to explore the Turks and Caicos by water, kayaking is an eco-friendly watersport that's easy to learn. Take in the views as you kayak along the shores of Grace Bay or explore a little further out by the reef — and get a great workout in the process. Kayaking improves cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength from working the paddle, and it gives you a chance to get on the water without having to use any fuel. The clarity of the water makes it possible to see coral heads and sea life below. Keep your eyes peeled for sea turtles popping up as they surface for air.

Standup paddleboarding

Similar to kayaking, all you need for this sport is your board and a paddle. Standup paddleboarding (or SUP) is the fastest growing sport in the world, in large part because it's a relatively easy sport to learn that requires very little equipment. Like kayaking, standup paddleboarding is an eco-friendly way to be out on the water. Because you're standing on the board rather than sitting, it also gives you a better vantage point to see everything below the surface, all while you strengthen your core by paddling. Both kayaking and standup paddleboarding are easier to do in calm, windless conditions.

Snorkeling

Just a short swim out from the beach at Beach Enclave North Shore is a coral reef teeming with life. Sure, our islands are beautiful by land and sea. But below the ocean surface lies a completely different, vibrant world that must be explored. You haven't fully experienced the Turks and Caicos until you've experienced it under the sea. There is much to see — from an array of corals, to tropical fish, rays, turtles and more. With a reef in swimming distance from Beach Enclave North Shore, we want to make sure our guests have all they need to experience it up close. And that means you get your own mask, snorkel and fins.

Boating excursions

Want to go beyond the North Shore property? We can help you arrange a boating excursion or guided tour that fulfills all your needs, whether you're looking for an all-day affair exploring the outer islands, or a relaxing sunset cruise. We work closely with , a local watersports and eco-tours company that offers everything from guided kayaking excursions through the mangroves, to private charters to our outer islands. Our in-house concierge will cover all the details of your trip based on what you're looking for.

You don't have to choose between luxury and adventure. At Beach Enclave, we believe you can have both. Ready to book your stay at Beach Enclave North Shore and experience the best our islands have to offer? , or call our toll free numbers at 1-877-221-2792.
