Minimal Construction Footprint

Beach Enclave’s thoughtful development plan provided for a minimal construction footprint. Each villa’s location, layout and direction take into consideration the island’s topography, wind and sun, harnessing cross breezes to cool, rainwater to irrigate and louvered windows for shade and safety.

Local Landscape

Out of respect for the local landscape, plants and trees were moved and replanted during the building process, and slow-growth indigenous flora were paired with palm trees and flowering plants that require low amounts of fertilizer and pesticide.

Renewable Energy

Every Beach Enclave home is designed to take advantage of breakthroughs in renewable energy, including domestic solar water heating and solar pool pumps. Several villas feature solar panels for additional energy savings.

Design Aspects

High-efficiency air conditioning systems are individually controlled by room, and feature a thermocool system in which sliding door detectors slow and eventually shut down the A/C when doors are open. Additionally, LED bulbs are used in every villa to conserve energy.

Minimizing Single-Use Plastics

Most plastics are made from oil and gas - fossil fuels that contribute to climate change. Beach Enclave is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by minimizing the use of plastic in each of its villas and beach houses. All accommodations include a water cooler and re-usable water bottles are given to each guest on arrival. No plastic crockery, cutlery or straws are used in any of the villas and beach houses.

Eco-Friendly Housekeeping

Beach Enclave’s partnership with Ecosure and Ecolab ensures use of their EPA-certified and eco-friendly cleaning and disinfecting products, including bathroom disinfectant cleaner, neutral disinfectant cleaner, sanitizing wipes and peroxide cleaner. To support water conservation, housekeeping changes linens every three days (unless soiled or requested by guests).
